The Event

Two times Formula 1 World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi, with support from the City of São Paulo, will bring to the Brazilian stage the new Brand Championship or FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) – the “6 Hours of São Paulo”, Interlagos circuit, 13 – 15 September, 2012.

Newly created by the FIAT, the Championship is the highest title of world endurance races and is organized by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest – also organizers of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the FIA WEC events. Participating in the FIA World Endurance Championship are automakers like Audi, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Aston Martin, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Porsche, Lotus and others that use the series as a development laboratory for new technologies aimed at improving their street cars. One of the major characteristics of the new league is to stimulate creativity and alternative technologies, exemplified in hybrid cars and alternative fuels, and amazing prototypes on track racing together with super sport cars prepared for racing, among other factors.

Besides the action on the track, “6 Hours of São Paulo” will have many amazing adventures for the whole family, during the whole event.
